Biafra: Shut Down IPOB-Linked Youtube Channels – Buhari Govt Tells Google
The Nigerian Authorities has urged Google to close down the YouTube channels belonging to the Indigenous Folks of Biafra, IPOB.
Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Info and Tradition, anchored its name on the truth that IPOB is a proscribed group, NAN reviews.
Mohammed made the decision whereas receiving a crew of Google officers on Thursday in Abuja.
He listed such channels to incorporate Biafra Digest TV, Umu Biafra TV, Biafra Digest, and Asa Biafra TV.
The minister lamented that a few of these channels use native languages and dialects throughout their broadcast to evade being censored.
“Your platform is a platform of alternative for IPOB, a proscribed terrorist group.
“We implore you to not make your platform obtainable to them for his or her acts of violence and destabilization.
“We hope you’ll cooperate with us in addition to our safety companies on this route,” he stated
