Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo has paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II after the monarch handed away on the age of 96.

The Queen died peacefully in Balmoral on Thursday, ending a outstanding reign of greater than 70 years.

Her passing has had a big effect on the sporting world, with the Premier League and English Football League (EFL) postponing this weekend’s fixtures as the United Kingdom enters a period of mourning.
