The lone accident which occurred on 7.50 am on Friday, concerned a Mazda bus with registration quantity APP934XH.
Superintendent Route Commander and Public Schooling Officer, Florence Okpe, who disclosed this on behalf of Sector Commander FRSC Ogun Sector Command, Umar Ahmed, attributed the reason for the accident to extreme velocity which led to the lack of management of the wheel.
She said that the Mazda bus rammed into the highway median strip (highway divider) and went up in flames
“The injured victims have been taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere for medical consideration whereas the remaining 4 have been burnt past recognition,” she said.
She quoted the Sector Commander as reiterating the hazards of velocity violation and suggested motorists to obey visitors guidelines and laws at the same time as he commiserated with the households of the deceased passengers and prayed that God ought to strengthen them for the losses.
