As many as seven kids have been reported killed in a stampede of residents fleeing from bandits in Shimfida, Jibia Native Authorities Space of Katsina State.

Bara’u Muhammad, an indigene of Shimfida, residing in Jibia city, stated over 1000 girls and kids fleeing Shimfida had arrived in Jibia city by Thursday afternoon.

“They’re taking refuge at Tashar Furera in Pilot Major Faculty, Jibia. Others have crossed to the neighbouring Niger Republic through Gurbin Baure group,” Mr Muhammad stated, confirming that Shimfida had been abandoned.
