U.S. Navy say service USS Ronald Reagan conducting operations in Philippine Sea
TOKYO, Aug 4 (Reuters) – The U.S. Navy on Thursday stated the united statesRonald Reagan plane service was conducting scheduled operations within the Philippine Sea within the Western Pacific, a 5.7 million sq. kilometre (2.2 million sq. mile) stretch of ocean that features waters southeast of Taiwan.
“USS Ronald Reagan and her strike group are underway within the Philippine Sea persevering with regular, scheduled operations as a part of her routine patrol in help of a free and open Indo-Pacific,” a U.S. Navy Seventh Fleet spokesperson stated.
Dwelling-ported at Yokosuka naval base in Japan, the Reagan is the U.S. Navy’s solely ahead deployed service.
